The cast of Mad Men stepped out of the 50s and into 2008 for the red carpet season two premiere party in LA earlier this week. Gorgeous January Jones and Jon Hamm looked picture perfect together while Christina Hendricks showed off a new shade of red joined by some non costars like Kate Walsh and Ben McKenzie. If you haven't started watching this show yet, I totally recommend it as just about every critic out there. Plus, it made history with its Emmy nominations! The show is finally back this Sunday, cannot wait, I just keep watching the season two previews and reading their TCA hints of what to expect when the show returns over and over.
oh today is a super sad day - earlier today i heard of the passing of estelle getty and my heart just sank :( she died this morning three days before 85th birthday - i knew she had been sick over the last few years suffering from lewy body dementia (not good times) at least she's in a better place and no longer in any kind of pain or anguish but ms. getty is so missed already - there's been an outpouring of poststoday on the web - everyone loves the golden girls on which she played oh so sassy & feisty sophia petrillo her most famous & beloved role yet she did have a number of great bits in other movies (mannequin, mask, tootsie, and stop! or my mom will shoot) she's the first golden gal to pass onto the other side - i can't bear losing any of the other ladies anytime soon - especially bea arthur (not to discount betty white or rue mcclanahan but maude is my girl) we love & miss you estelle getty and i'd like to say for everyone - thank you for being a friend - xxoo

Sadly, today July 22, 2008 at 5:35 a.m. Pacific Time, we said our last good-byes to our little friend Estelle, who passed away and made her journey to the great beyond. Although it was a trip that she never wanted to take, she went gracefully, in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by her family and her very loving care-givers.
Estelle's legacy will live on and on through the comedy and laughter she gave to us all, which will forever keep us laughing out loud.
For us here, who have known and cared for her for so many years, we've lost our dear little friend who always kept us entertained by filling our days with joyful laughter. Estelle's fans across the globe have lost the feisty little lady known as Sophia Petrillo, whose quick wit, cutting remarks, and outrageous punch lines will forever be quoted and remembered.
Estelle was a fighter. She always stood up for the underdogs, fought for equality for all, and always pictured a world filled with "Love and Laughter" -- her most favorite catch phrase.
Estelle, we love you and will miss you dearly. We pray that you are met at the Pearly Gate with open arms and a warm welcome by all who have passed before you. If there's a stage over there, I know you'll be on it. If there's a thrift shop, I know you'll be shopping, and if there's a deli, I know you'll be eating there holding court with Rhoda and Sylvia ... and the laughter will be heard throughout the heavens.
Goodbye, dear friend. Thank you for all the talent and love that you've shared with us during your time here on Earth. You have touched my life, and the lives of so many others who will never forget you.

The 24-year-old Danity Kane member has been toning down her sexy image lately as she stars as Amber Von Tussle in the Broadway musical, Hairspray.
“I am so excited for my opening night on Broadway,” Aubrey told MTV News earlier this week. “I’ve learned the part in two weeks, so it’s been crazy, but such a beautiful experience and everyone has been so welcoming, and I just fit right in.”
“I’m a good nervous,” she added. “It’s positive energy; it’s not negative, but definitely I have butterflies in my tummy right now. I’m just very excited to go onstage tonight and be a little snotty brat.”
