• "Atonement" won the Golden Globe for Best Drama last night, while "Sweeney Todd" took home the award for "Best Comedy or Musical." I guess because it's both hilarious and dramatic, "Norbit" didn't get nominated in either category, which hardly seems fair.
• Daniel Day-Lewis and Julie Christie won the Golden Globes for best Actor/Actress in a Drama, and Johnny Depp and Marion Cotillard won for best Actor/Actress in a Comedy or Musical. Philip Seymour Hoffman lost out for both "Best Actor" and "Best Supporting Actor," but did win this year's coveted "My Parents Can Finally Remember This Person's Name" Award.
• HBO dominated the tv categories at the Globes, winning in 6 of 11 categories including "Best TV Movie" (Longford), "Best Supporting Actor" (Jeremy Piven), and "Least Shame In Constantly Replaying a Worthless Movie (Superman Returns).
• In non-globe-related news, Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman gave birth to their first child, Max Liron Bratman. Apparently, they let Bret Easton Ellis name the child?
• "The Bucket List" topped the weekend box office, earning $19.5 million and greatly bolstering John McCain's presidential campaign.

• This week, we learned that "Untraceable," the upcoming movie about a website that kills people remotely, isn't a horror movie but actually a nonfiction documentary based on a real website.
• Another heartwarming tale of a couple falling in love, getting married, the bride getting a custom-made cake shaped like herself, the Tracy Morgan-looking husband casually stabbing a knife into the cake's belly to cut the first piece... Feel good story of the year.
• Alex's list of the 10 Most Inspiring Beards will definitely inspire you... to... grow a beard.
• NBC President Ben Silverman puts the nerdy, prom-ruining writers in their place, and in the process, ironically, writes his own 80s teen comedy.
• I knew Elijah Wood was creepy-looking, but I didn't think that he was -- nah, I guess I did always think that he was exactly this creepy-looking.
• Aretha Franklin is back, and she's smaller, whiter, maler, childerer, and better than ever!
• What are you gonna do to get us to watch the new "Knight Rider" series, Television, cast Will Arnett as the voice of the car? Wait, seriously?
• And for the love of god, people, get your name on the Police Academy Reunion petition NOW -- before it's too late. We already missed our chance with The Beatles... you're really gonna let it happen again??

The Golden Globes may not be going on as hoped, but that doesn't mean that the swag suites will all go to waste. Some - sorry guys - not-so-A-Listers were out in LA yesterday at the Kari Feinstein Winter Style Lounge to get their hands on some of the free stuff. Some of the first in line included Entourage's Emmanuelle Chriqui, Rex Lee, and Jeremy Piven. Chuck's Zachary Levi and Joshua Gomez brought a whole new level of meaning to posing fiercely in their fur vests. I'm sure they took those bad boys home. I'm thinking that most of the actual nominees who are boycotting the awards won't be swooping in to snag the swag, but who knows, perhaps the draw of free free free is too much to bear for some.
