True story: late last night we received this email:

Our late night reply:

Hardly, but excellent question. Lindsay Lohan’s lesbian love affair has not been a bigger story because she’s not gay. She’s just having fun with someone she feels comfortable around who happens to be a girl. (she’s still going to break Sam’s heart) LaLohan’s had bad luck with the male species, but it’s not the male’s fault. Us Weekly just did a photo special on all the guys she’s dated guys, in honor of her 22nd birthday. You may not have noticed, but she’s banged every hot guy in Hollywood. Every. Hot. Guy. And a few not so hot guys. And a whole Roosevelt full of guys we don’t know about, yet. Point is, we’d get bored, too. So, she’s adopted the old “variety is the spice of life” on a level most people can’t, or choose not to, enjoy. Besides, boys makin out is a bigger deal than girls makin out with girls. At least to the US Weekly buying America.

the situation is funny and, double standard, for sure, but sam ain’t hot, either. it might be a different story if sam looked like charlize theron.
