Britney Spears is heading home today for a big reunion with her younger sister, Jamie Lynn, an insider tells Life & Style exclusively. The occasion? Jamie Lynn's baby shower!
Britney is leaving LA today to arrive in Kentwood, La., in time for tomorrow's baby shower at mom Lynne Spears' house, Serenity. Britney was last seen in Kentwood in November 2006.
"The shower's on Saturday at Lynne's house," the insider tells Life & Style.
"At first, Jamie [Brit's dad and also her guardian these days] didn't think it was a good idea for Brit to go. He thought it might create chaos in Kentwood, and he wasn't sure he wanted to put Jamie Lynn - or Britney - in the middle of that.
"Britney can't travel without Jamie's permission, so she worked really hard to talk him into it; it was so important for her to be there for her little sister. He finally gave in, knowing it'd be good for Brit and Jamie Lynn to finally see each other."

Kevin Federline used to dread talking to ex-wife Britney Spears. In fact, when he'd look down at his phone and see her number, Kevin would often groan, says a friend of his. But that seems to have changed. When Britney called him one recent afternoon, Kevin's tone was soft and cheery.
"Hey, lady," Kevin said, according to his friend, who was there at the time. "What's up?" The friend tells Life & Style that Kevin, 30, and Britney, 26, then chatted for several minutes. It was an enormous emotional leap for a couple who just months ago were exchanging messages only via their lawyers - in court during their heated custody battle.
"It's such a huge change," says Kevin's friend. "It hasn't been like this between them in forever."
Still, while romance may be in the cards, a Spears family insider says Kevin's primary motivation for getting back with Britney is the well-being of their sons. "Kevin's stayed friendly with Britney's dad," the Spears family insider says. "And he's told [her dad] Jamie how much he wants the boys to have a real family. But he doesn't want to push Britney. He's afraid too much pressure would cause a relapse - and he really doesn't want that to happen."
And Kevin does recognize the practical side of a reconciliation. "Kevin's attracted to the lifestyle Britney can afford him," a second pal of Kevin's notes.

It isn't easy to snag a table at Michael's Genuine Food & Drink, one of Miami's hottest new restaurants. But Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer aren't your average customers.
On April 25, after the restaurant finished serving lunch, Michael's reopened exclusively for the actress and the singer around 3:30 p.m. And it wasn't a business meeting. The duo, who stayed for 90 minutes, "were having a great time," a waitress tells Life & Style. "He would lean in and whisper things to her, kind of close. And she didn't seem to mind at all!"

Lynne Spears isn't thrilled that her youngest daughter is pregnant at 17. But she was delighted to go along with Jamie Lynn to learn the baby's gender - and discover she's finally going to have a granddaughter!
And she wasn't the only one happy with the news. "I heard Lynne talking about Jamie Lynn's baby," says a witness. "She said Jamie Lynn and the baby's dad [Casey Aldridge] were so excited when they found out it's a girl."

While en route from LA to New Orleans aboard Delta flight 866 on April 20, Lynne Spears spoke exclusively with a Life & Style reporter. Among other comments, she said of her 17-year-old daughter Jamie Lynn, "I'm a bit disappointed that my youngest daughter got pregnant at such an early age."
This is one of several quotes in a long conversation that Lynne knowingly had with a Life & Style reporter, who identified himself as such aboard the flight.

Life & Style has learned exclusively that former Sopranos star Jamie-Lynn Sigler has split with her longtime boyfriend, Scott Sartiano.
"Jamie is pursuing her career in LA, while Scott is focused on his career in New York," an insider tells Life & Style.
Scott owns New York restaurant Butter and the new lounge 1 Oak, while Jamie decided it was best for her career to be in LA full time.
"They're doing what's best for each of them," says the insider.
Jamie, who was married once before, "doesn't want to get married right now," claims the insider.
"She and Scott are in very different places. But you never know what's going to happen. They remain good friends." |

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have settled in to life around Austin, Texas, where Brad's filming the adventure film Tree of Life. But when Angelina - who's more than six months pregnant with twins - injured her ankle recently, she decided to fly home to LA to have it checked out by her own physician.
"At first she thought it was just a twisted ankle or something," says an insider. "But everyone was worried because of the pregnancy and previous problems she's had with leg swelling. Angelina didn't want to take any chances, and everyone agreed.
Brad was really worried."
But once the family boarded their private Gulfstream jet for Burbank, Calif., on April 17, her injury turned into something even more serious. A couple of hours into the flight, the insider reveals, the pain began to grow worse. "Her legs were swelling, and she was getting really wobbly and starting to feel sick," the insider says.
The pain eventually became so severe that Brad and Angie considered
making an emergency landing. "Angelina's medical team had advised her to head to the nearest medical facility if the situation got worse," the insider reports.
But Angelina insisted they continue on to LA so she could see her own doctor. Shortly after 3 p.m., the jet landed at Burbank airport, where a fleet of blacked-out SUVs was waiting, along with Angie's physician.
The Jolie-Pitts were rushed to their home in Los Feliz, where a team of nurses was also waiting for them.

Jennifer Lopez breezed into NYC's Waverly Inn, where she and husband Marc Anthony joined a group of 10 friends for dinner on April 14. "J.Lo looked amazing," an eyewitness says of the pop diva, who gave birth to twins Max and Emme on Feb. 22. "She looks like she's lost all the baby weight already."
And she wants to keep it off - just for now. When Fergie and her fiancé, Josh Duhamel, stopped by her table to say hello, "Fergie asked J.Lo if she and Marc were planning on any more children," says the eyewitness. "J.Lo smiled and said, 'Not for a while.'"

It's been a trying few months for Lynne Spears. First her youngest daughter, Jamie Lynn, went public with the shocking news of her pregnancy in December, when she was just 16. Then in January, her oldest daughter, Britney, 26, was hospitalized twice for mental illness - before being diagnosed with bipolar disorder, say insiders.
When asked about Jamie Lynn, now 17, Lynne spoke frankly. "I'm a bit disappointed that my youngest daughter got pregnant at such an early age," she tells Life & Style. "All I can do is turn to God for answers and just leave it in his hands."
