Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have done charity work in places as far-flung as Africa and Cambodia. But their next stop? Brad's hometown, Springfield, Mo.!
As first reported in the local Springfield News-Leader, the couple are joining forces with Brad's brother Doug, a businessman, to launch the Care to Learn Fund, devoted to raising money to help needy children in Springfield public schools.
Life & Style spoke exclusively to Jim D. Morris, the philanthropist who's partnering with the Jolie-Pitts on the fund. "I've worked with Doug Pitt, and he called me and invited me to join the program," Jim tells Life & Style. "Doug told me he called Brad and talked to him about being involved with the charity and Brad was very excited about it. Brad and Angelina are thrilled to be involved with the program."
Naturally, Springfield residents are equally thrilled. "People in town are absolutely excited about the program," Morris tells Life & Style. "Brad and Angelina's involvement is the key to making it successful. I always say that with Brad, you don't even have to mention his last name and everyone knows who you're talking about. Certainly I'm proud to be associated with him and Angelina, but that's not what the program's about. The cause is to help the children."

They appear to have it all: money, great careers and men drooling at their feet. But Hollywood's leading ladies may be willing to risk everything they have - including their health - to become thinner.
Just weeks ago, Nicole Richie - who in 2006 was under a doctor's care for her eating issues - looked like the picture of post-pregnancy health. But when the new mom, 26, stepped out in LA on March 26, her appearance shocked onlookers: Her skinny jeans were loose on her!
Meanwhile, Katie Holmes, 29, and Victoria Beckham, 33, at Madeo Restaurant in LA. which is known for its decadent pastas, didn't indulge during a recent dinner together. In fact, the two split a meal meant for one person, sharing a green salad sans dressing, one piece of fish and one side of steamed spinach. They also ordered one regular Coke and two glasses of ice. "Katie poured half the soda into each of their glasses, then filled up the rest with bottled water," says a Madeo regular. "They do it all the time. It's how they control calories."
And Nicky Hilton, 24, recently stated, "It's really not that interesting or true," refering to the reports that she suffers from an eating disorder. Although her rep denies Nicky has any eating issues, the socialite drank her meal while on a recent dinner date with boyfriend David Katzenberg, says an onlooker who saw the couple at the Four Seasons in LA. She barely touched the food on her plate."

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie did not tie the knot in a New Orleans wedding chapel on Saturday, March 29, despite rumors to the contrary, the chapel's clergyman tells Life & Style. "Brad and Angelina did not get married by us," the Rev. Tony Talavera, owner of the French Quarter Wedding chapel, explained during a sitdown with Life & Style on Sunday. Talavera said he normally doesn't reveal whether he did or didn't perform a ceremony at his kitschy wedding center 14 blocks from the Jolie-Pitt home. But he spoke to Life & Style after Brad's people called him and asked him to "quash any misinformation that's out there."
"I have not met them personally," Rev. Talavera said of the high-wattage Hollywood couple. "This just got out of control and their publicist asked me to give out a statement." Talavera said he'd be happy to do the job for Brad and Angie in the future. "We extend the invitation. We're glad they are neighbors," he said.

Johnny Depp always seemed like the kind of Hollywood bad boy who would never settle down - until he met French model, singer and actress Vanessa Paradis nearly 10 years ago. "For all intents and purposes, we are married," Johnny, 44, has gushed. "If she ever said, 'Hey, let's get hitched,' I would do it in a second."
That time has finally come. "Vanessa recently told Johnny that she would love to have a wedding," reveals a family insider. "Johnny loves Vanessa very much, and he said if that's what would make her happy, then he'd marry her."

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden have traveled the world, partied at exclusive clubs and signed autographs for adoring fans. So what impresses them these days? When daughter Harlow Winter Kate Madden, nearly 3 months old, gives them a grin. "The greatest thing about Harlow right now is that she laughs and smiles a lot," Joel tells Life & Style. "She wakes up every morning laughing and smiling - and it's the best part of my day."
But there are tough new challenges ahead. In late March, Joel left for a Good Charlotte tour that will take him throughout Europe through mid-April. Nicole and Joel can't wait until he's back so they can resume their routine. "Nicole's world is about bottles, diapers and family dinners now," says the couple's friend. "Parenthood is the best thing that ever happened to her."
Meanwhile, are wedding bells in Nicole and Joel's future? The two attended the wedding of Good Charlotte guitarist Billy Martin and longtime girlfriend Linzi Williamson on March 1. During his toast, Joel joked that "[They] beat us on the marriage, but we got you beat on the baby!" And, as Life & Style has reported, the duo have hired a wedding planner who's scouting locations in LA.
"Nicole and Joel are totally in love," the couple's pal, American Idol host Ryan Seacrest, tells Life & Style. And they've got Nic's dad, singer Lionel Richie, behind them. "Lionel says that if Nicole were to take the next step, he would advocate that," says Ryan.

With new episodes of The Hills kicking off on March 24, it seemed a curious coincidence when racy photos of cast member Audrina Patridge - taken four years ago, when she was just 18 - surfaced five days earlier. But Audrina, 22, insists their release is anything but a publicity stunt. In fact, she says she deeply regrets ever taking them.
"I was naive, overly trusting of people and inexperienced," she explained on her MySpace page on March 19.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are currently settled in Austin, Texas, but there's still plenty of movement at their Los Feliz, Calif., home. Life & Style has obtained a petition spearheaded by Brad's top security guard, Richard Malchar, asking the city of LA to make the couple's neighborhood a safer place to live for their four young children.
"He and Angelina feel they just can't take a chance on anything happening to them - or their children," says an insider.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes looked thrilled to be out at Cut restaurant in LA on March 5. Dining with actor Forest Whitaker and his wife, Keisha, the couple were celebrating the near completion of their new Hollywood Hills mansion. But something was out of place. Where was Suri? Until recently, Tom and Katie had taken their 23-month-old daughter with them everywhere. But Suri hasn't been spotted in public since Jan. 16 - 61 days and counting at press time.
So what's happened to her? Katie, 29, and Tom, 45, have always spoken about Suri as if she were a small adult. But an insider close to the Cruises says a series of events reminded the family that Suri's just a child after all. One evening, on the way out of a restaurant, fans surged. "Suri freaked out," the insider says. "She started blinking her eyes because people started taking pictures, and she put up an arm to shield her face. She cried and clung to Katie the whole way back to the hotel. That really upset Katie."
There's another only-in-Hollywood reason Tom and Katie have been keeping Suri holed up at their apartment in the Scientology Celebrity Centre: fear of overexposure. To celebrate Suri's 2nd birthday, on April 18, "Katie and Tom are throwing a party to end all parties," says the insider. "With all the publicity that it's going to generate, Katie thinks it's best for Suri to lie low."

Strolling hand in hand out of a Miami movie theater on March 16, Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson confirmed what all of Hollywood had been whispering about: The former couple have rekindled their romance. "They've been having low-key rendezvous in Miami," says an insider close to the two. Despite their outings, the couple may not be ready to publicly declare their love. "They're taking things slow," says a friend of Owen's. "Kate doesn't want [her son] Ryder to get attached to Owen until she's sure he's changed his ways."
