Day care center drop-offs and Wal-Mart runs are hardly the activities of a glamorous A-list couple - unless the A-listers are Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. The two are clearly trying to give their kids a down-to-earth upbringing. But with security guards posted in the day care parking lot, private flights out of the Smithville-Crawford Municipal airport and a top-security ranch in Cedar Lake, Texas, to call home, life is far too chaotic to be seen as normal.

Halle Berry declared she wanted to "stay pregnant forever," but nature took its course on March 16: The 41-year-old actress gave birth to her first child. "She had a girl," Halle's rep confirms to Life & Style. "Everyone is doing great." Everyone is the new mom, the baby's daddy, 32-year-old model Gabriel Aubry, and the couple's darling daughter. "Gabriel is thrilled to have a little girl," says an insider close to Halle. The couple have named their daughter Nahla Ariela Aubry.

Jennifer Aniston had moved on. After the long-awaited meeting between Angelina Jolie and her fell apart - when Angie and Brad Pitt backed out of the Feb. 23 Night Before pre-Oscar party in LA - the headlines about the almost-showdown were quickly forgotten.
Until Angelina's brother, James Haven, opened his mouth, that is. In an interview with the U.K.'s Grazia magazine, James revealed the real reason the couple were no-shows (despite being listed, along with Jen, as co-hosts of the party). While the oddly worded statement seemed sweet on the surface, it managed to paint Jen, 39, as a fragile, wounded woman who could never have handled a meeting with her ex-husband's lover.
So what made Angie, 32, lash out at Jen via her brother? Angie (who has said she is willing to meet with Jen) was getting negative publicity for skipping the Night Before party, especially since she chose to publicly flaunt her baby bump that same day at the Independent Spirit Awards. Despite her super-confident public image, Angelina's actually deeply insecure, says an insider. "She's convinced that Jen is still in love with Brad," the insider says. As a result, says the insider, Brad is dismayed by James' comments about Jen but is afraid to say anything to Angelina. "He knows her knee-jerk reaction will be to accuse him of taking Jen's side," the insider says. "He just wants to keep the peace."

While running errands in her hometown of Kentwood, La., Lynne Spears made a startling pit stop. She walked into Connie's Jewelry and Gifts - but she wasn't there to buy. Lynne "took a diamond tennis bracelet and a diamond ring with a gold band on her right hand," says a witness. Though no sale was made at the time, "they talked about meeting again," the witness says. Considering that Lynne's other daughter is Britney Spears, it was a shocking sight - and it indicated how much trouble the family's finances may be in.

Love was in the air as Nicole Richie and Joel Madden arrived at the afternoon nuptials of Good Charlotte guitarist Billy Martin and his high school sweetheart Linzi Williamson, on March 1. But it was an emotional day for more than the bride and groom - the ceremony also hit home for new parents Nicole, 26, and Joel, 29. "Nicole and Joel kept telling people that the wedding was beautiful and that they were having a great time," said an insider. "Who knows. Maybe they'll be next!"

They jet around the world on a moment's notice, wear only the hottest designer labels and call A-listers like Will Smith and Jennifer Lopez their pals. But believe it or not, one of Hollywood's wealthiest families Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes and 23-month-old daughter Suri lives in an apartment. They plunked down $35 million for their dream home in 2007, and Tom and Katie have spent the past eight months making an extra $15 million in renovations! And there's no doubt which room is already Katie's favorite: her 1,500-square-foot walk-in closet. Says a friend of Katie's, "That closet is her pride and joy."
But despite their lavish surroundings, when Tom and Katie aren't traveling for work, the couple's home life is surprisingly down-to-earth, the insider insists. After waking the kids and fixing them breakfast, Tom and Katie see Isabella and Connor off to classes with a tutor before Tom heads to his office. When Daddy's at work, Suri and Katie often have friends over for playdates. Many of Suri's pals include kids of her parents' friends like David and Victoria Beckham's 3-year-old son, Romeo, and Brooke Shields' 1-year-old daughter, Grier. The family comes back together at dinnertime and the cook is usually either Tom or Katie. After Suri falls asleep, Tom and Katie, who got married in November 2006, usually steal some alone time.

When Britney Spears shows up at a restaurant, it tends to cause a buzz among fellow diners. But the troubled pop star, 26, caused more commotion than usual after arriving with her father, Jamie, for dinner at Mastro's Steakhouse in LA on Feb. 23. The reason? She was sporting what appeared to be a prominent baby bump!
"I got a good view of her belly," an eyewitness tells Life & Style. "She totally looked pregnant." Earlier in the day, another witness had spotted a rounder-looking Brit checking out a $7.7 million mansion. Says the witness, "She was in a great mood, giggling as she left and texting someone."
That someone was likely Adnan Ghalib, the 35-year-old photographer Britney's been seeing since early January. "Britney's still having sex with him," an insider tells Life & Style. And Jamie, who has moved in with Britney to oversee her recovery, "can't stand it," says the insider. "He hates when Adnan comes over and the two of them disappear for a few hours. He knows they're having sex. But Adnan makes Britney happy."
But by all accounts, Britney's definitely had babies on the brain, especially since Feb. 23. Before dinner with her dad, Britney was reunited with her sons - Sean, 2, and Jayden, 1 - after having been denied visitation for seven weeks. Under supervision, Britney was allowed to see the boys in her own home from 9 a.m. until noon.

During a recent outing in Beverly Hills, Kate Hudson ran into a friend who asked the question on a lot of people's minds these days: Is she pregnant again? "Kate laughed, but she didn't deny it," a restaurant patron tells Life & Style.
But it wouldn't be shocking if she were expecting or prepping for a new baby in the near future. "I can't wait to have more [children]," Kate has said. "It's the best thing ever."
