In the late hours of Dec. 22, a smiling Britney Spears-donning a neon-pink wig and a ripped leopard minidress-checked into the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills. Before going up to her room, though, she was met in the lobby by Adnan Ghalib, a photographer who often covers the pop star. After greeting each other warmly and heading upstairs, the two didn't emerge until early the next morning. "She definitely had sex on her mind," says an insider close to Britney. "She even had her assistant buy condoms for her at a gas station and bring them to the hotel. Britney said they slept together."
