Cameron's still in NYC on her promotional tour for Shrek the Third. She's already claimed herself as the popular kid in school and now she's dishing on her hellish life however, it seems so hard to feel sorry for someone like Cameron. Here's more from an interview with Jeanne Wolf of movies.com:

On life in Hollywood:
"The last couple of years were hell. Like, I can't even tell you, it was so hard. I didn't know how to handle it. But I think I'm in a much better place now, because I stepped away for a second and took a breath. Hollywood is a funny place. It offers so much, but it can also take a lot away from you."

On being successful and pretty:
"If a woman who's a successful actress weighs 300 pounds and has warts, nobody ever asks her, 'Do you think you made it because you're ugly?' So why should there be prejudice against someone who's had some success in films and looks a little better than average. It's all in my genes, so don't hold it against me."

What with all the parties, and fabulous clothes and great boyfriends it's hard to imagine life being so hellish. Cameron clearly is in a better place though - perhaps this explains why she is recently okay with all the paparazzi.

Salma's not letting a little pregnancy get in the way of her jet setting ways. Earlier this week she was on the arm of her fiancé at NYC's Costume Institute Gala and here she is already in Paris. With her French fiancé, Francois-Henri Pinault, by her side, it's no wonder that she wants to spend some of her time expecting in the city of love. Plus, considering all the luxury brands Pinault's family owns -- Yves Saint Laurent, Gucci, Balenciaga, etc, etc...ring a bell? -- I can't blame her wanting to wile away a few (okay, a lot of) hours shopping. And hey, when it gets to be too much to go to the stores, as I mentioned before, she'll probably be able to get the stores to come to her.

Jessica Simpson is dressing all sorts of ways in NYC this week. Here she is looking tiny yet the other day she looked much fuller in her rainbow dress. She also went from shockingly sexy at the Costume Institute Gala to avoiding the red carpet in a much less revealing outfit the following night. She was supporting John at Time Magazine's celebration of our planet's most influential people. That night, John Edwards took a liking to John (in an environmental way). It's good to know she shares when others need to take center stage!

Heath Ledger was looking all hot and 10 Things I Hate About You-ish walking his baby around Soho, London this week. He even threw a friendly thumbs up to the photographer I can't imagine he was actually happy to see. The Ledger-Williams family is overseas while Michelle shoots Incendiary and Heath is on a break from playing the Joker in the new Batman movie, The Dark Knight. I'm not sure where he put Matilda halfway through the walk, but it's pretty cute to see him pushing his little darling around!

Earlier we were treated to cute pics of Brad and Zahara and now here Dad is picking up Maddox from school. Mad is growing up so fast! Even though Brad is busy with his family in Prague, his humanitarian projects back in the states are still underway. Construction has just started on Global Green USA, his project building Eco-friendly houses in neighborhoods ravaged by Hurricane Katrina. As if that weren't enough, he and Angie also just donated $1 million to humanitarian groups in Darfur! We bet it's only a matter of time before Maddox and his siblings are humanitarians in their own right, just like their parents.

Paris' handful of puppy love out in LA this week goes along pretty well with her new softer tactic in dealing with her 45 day sentence. Last week she fired Elliot and angrily called the sentence cruel and unwarranted. This week Elliot is back, she's got a new lawyer, "DUI expert" Richard Hutton, and she's bravely facing her punishment. She even released the following statement:

"After reading the media's coverage of my court hearing, I feel the need to correct what I believe are misperceptions about me. I absolutely realize how serious driving under the influence is. I could not live with myself if anyone was injured or killed while I was driving while impaired. Clearly, no one should -- no matter how slightly.

I am ready to face the consequences of violating probation.

No one is above the law. I surely am not. I do not expect to be treated better than anyone else who violated probation. However, my hope is that I will not be treated worse."

That sounds like the perfect statement, though we doubt Paris had a whole lot to do with writing it. It sounds like at this point she's just going to have to wait and see what happens.

Ashley Olsen stepped out in Manhattan last night wearing Mary-Kate's favorite belt from the previous two nights. Ah, that's what sisters are for, right? Twins especially. Ash is looking pretty great these days, even with no make-up at all. I gotta say that it's nice to see that she's given up on trying to cover her face every time she leaves the house. That sounds way more creepy and stalkerish than I intended it to. Just love seeing the Olsens smiling little faces! Yeah right, like they ever smile.

Eva took advantage of Tony's break between play-off games and jetted off to Paris this week to spend some time with the in-laws and work on wedding preparations. She was seen shopping and checking out churches around Paris with Tony's mom, though we would think that she would have chosen a location by now. While in town Eva also had a L 'Oreal photoshoot and made time to cheer on Tony's brother, TJ, in his own basketball play-offs. It's a good thing Eva's cheerleading skills have been perfected by all of Tony's wins. We're sure she'll be back in time for her man's next game on Saturday, but she won't have to miss Paris for too long. Eva and Tony's July 7 wedding is less than two months away!

Lindsay Lohan looked pissed off about something at a party celebrating her NYLON magazine cover at Tejune in NYC last night. She obviously would have rather been somewhere else, which is why (after changing the dress) she and her newest (and past) boytoy, Calum Best jetted off to wherever the night took them. Linds must be proud of this one, as she was reportedly bragging about conquering him in that one very scandalous article. Well good for her for finding a dude she likes for more than five minutes, let's just see how long she lets him stay around. A summer romance perhaps? I mean, considering how well the last one went...
